1-1/3 c. cornmeal 2/3 c. whole-wheat flour 2 t. baking powder 1 t. salt 1/4 c. wheat germ 2 T. sesame seed 1-/3/4 c. milk 3 T. oil 1 egg, beaten
In a bowl, stir together cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt, wheat germ and sesame seed. Add milk, oil and egg; stir until moistened. Spoon batter into a greased cast-iron skillet; transfer to oven. Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cut into wedges; serve warm. Serves 8.
