1 c. butter, softened 3/4 c. powdered sugar 2 t. vanilla extract 6-oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips 2 c. all-purpose flour 1/4 t. baking powder 1/8 t. salt
In a large bowl, beat butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until smooth. Stir
in vanilla and chocolate chips; set aside. In a separate bowl, stir together remaining ingredients. Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture,
beating on low speed until blended. Shape dough into 3 logs, each 10 inches long. Wrap logs separately in wax paper; chill for 4 hours. Cut each log into 28 slices. Place slices on lightly greased baking sheets, one inch apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes, until edges are golden. Cool on wire racks. Makes 7 dozen.
