2 9-inch pie crusts, unbaked
3 c. gooseberries, washed and stemmed
1 T. all-purpose flour
1 to 1-1/2 c. sugar
1 T. butter
1 egg
Line pie plate with one crust and fill with gooseberries. Mix together flour, sugar, butter and egg. Carefully spread this mixture over the gooseberries. Place top crust on pie. Pierce crust with fork. Bake at 400 degrees for 35 minutes or until crust is golden.
