1 onion, sliced
3 cloves garlic, minced
28-oz. can crushed tomatoes
2 T. balsamic vinegar
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
1 T. Italian seasoning
2 t. brown sugar, packed
salt and pepper to taste
2 to 3-lb. beef chuck roast
Blend together all ingredients except roast in a bowl. Pour half the mixture into a slow cooker and add roast; pour remaining mixture over top. Cover and cook on low setting for 6 to 8 hours. Serves 6.
