2 cups whole-wheat flour
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup cornmeal
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup oats
1/4 cup molasses
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup milk
non-stick vegetable spray
Mix all the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
Stir in molasses, oil, eggs and milk until dough sticks together and there’s no powder left.
Roll dough out on a well-floured surface to a 1/2-inch thickness.
Cut out biscuits with your favorite cookie cutters. Place biscuits on a sprayed baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Turn the oven off, but leave biscuits in the oven for another 20 more minutes to harden. Makes 1 dozen.
