Mom's Manicotti

1/2 lb. ground beef
1 clove garlic, pressed
1 c. cottage cheese
8 oz. mozzarella cheese, shredded and divided
1/2 t. salt
1/2 c. mayonnaise
8 manicotti, cooked
16-oz. jar spaghetti sauce
1/2 t. dried oregano


Brown beef and garlic; drain fat. Mix cottage cheese, half of mozzarella cheese, salt and mayonnaise together; stir in beef mixture. Fill each manicotti with about 1/4 cup meat filling. Place in an ungreased 13"x9" baking dish; cover with spaghetti sauce. Sprinkle with oregano and remaining mozzarella; cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Remove aluminum foil; bake an additional 10 minutes. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
