8 slices rye bread 4 oz. cooked ham, thinly sliced 4 oz. Provolone cheese, thinly sliced 4 oz. cooked turkey, thinly sliced 1/2 c. milk 2 eggs
On each of 4 slices of bread, layer ham, cheese and turkey. Top with remaining bread and press lightly to make 4 sandwiches. Cut each sandwich in 1/2 diagonally; set aside. In a 9" pie plate, beat together milk and eggs until well blended. Dip each sandwich into egg mixture, coating both sides. Cook, in a preheated greased skillet, over medium heat until browned, turning once. Transfer to a baking sheet. Bake at
400 degrees for 3 to 5 minutes or until cheese melts and sandwiches are heated through. Makes 4 sandwiches. | |
