18-1/2 oz. pkg. yellow cake mix 1 egg, beaten 1/4 c. butter, melted and slightly cooled 3 c. mini marshmallow 10-oz. pkg. peanut butter chips 1/2 c. light corn syrup 1/2 c. butter, softened 1 t. vanilla extract 2 c. salted peanuts 2 c. crispy rice cereal
Combine dry cake mix, egg and melted butter; press into a greased 13"x9" baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Sprinkle marshmallows over baked crust; return to oven and bake for 3 additional minutes, or until marshmallow are melted. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt peanut butter chips, corn syrup, butter and vanilla. Stir until smooth; stir in nuts and cereal. Spread mixture over marshmallow layer. Chill briefly until firm; cut into squares. Makes 2-1/2 dozen. | |
