Optional: 9-inch pie crust, unbaked
1-1/4 c. fresh or frozen cranberries
1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1/4 c. walnuts, hickory nuts or pecans, chopped
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 c. butter, melted
Arrange pie crust in a 9" pie plate, or simply grease pie plate. Fill pie plate with cranberries. Sprinkle with brown sugar and nuts; set aside. Beat egg in a bowl until thick. Gradually beat in sugar until blended. Stir in flour and melted butter. Blend well; pour over cranberries. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. Cool before slicing. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
