Vito's Deep-Dish Sausage Pizza

1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
1 lb. ground Italian pork sausage
8-oz. pkg. shredded mozzarella cheese
1 green pepper, diced
1 red pepper, diced
28-oz. can diced tomatoes, well drained
3/4 t. dried oregano
1/4 t. garlic powder
1/2 t. salt
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese


Press dough into the bottom and up the sides of a greased 13"x9" baking pan. Let rise for 10 to 15 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. While crust is baking, brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat; drain. Sprinkle sausage over baked crust; top with mozzarella cheese. In the same skillet, cook peppers until slightly tender. Stir in tomatoes and seasonings; simmer until liquid evaporates.Spoon mixture over pizza. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, until crust is golden. Cut into squares. Makes 8 servings.
