Prize-Winning Almond Bundt Cake

2-1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2-1/2 t. almond extract
1-1/3 c. milk
1 c. butter, softened
2-1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 t. baking powder
1/4 t. cinnamon
Garnish: chopped almonds, raw sugar


In a bowl, beat together sugar, eggs, extract, milk and butter. Gradually add flour, baking powder and cinnamon; beat well. Sprinkle almonds and raw sugar in the bottom of a greased Bundt® pan; pour batter over almonds and sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick tests clean. Cool cake in pan for 15 to 20 minutes. Turn out onto a wire rack. Serve warm or cooled. Makes 12 servings.
