Enjoy this recipe from Old-Fashioned Country Christmas .

3/4 c. brown sugar, packed 1 c. water 1/4 t. salt 1/2 t. cinnamon 1/2 t. cloves 1/4 t. allspice 1/4 t. nutmeg 2 –16 oz. cans jellied cranberry sauce 4 c. pineapple juice additional 3 c. water
Combine brown sugar, 1 cup water, salt, cinnamon, cloves, allspice and nutmeg and bring to a boil. Beat in cranberry sauce, pineapple juice and additional 3 cups of water. Simmer until heated through and all ingredients are well blended. Serve punch hot, in mugs with a cinnamon stick and a smidge of butter. You can add red wine or bourbon to make this an excellent heady brew. Makes about 11 cups. | |
