1 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
2 c. all-purpose flour
1-1/2 c. small gumdrops, chopped and divided
In a large bowl, blend together butter and brown sugar; stir in flour.
Fold in 1/2 cup gumdrops. Shape into one-inch balls; place on
ungreased baking sheets, one inch apart. Flatten balls to 1/2-inch thick
with the bottom of a glass tumbler dipped in sugar. Press several of
remaining gumdrop pieces onto each ball. Bake at 350 degrees for
10 to 12 minutes, until edges are golden. Cool completely on a wire
rack. Makes about 3 dozen.
