2 c. onion, sliced
2 T. butter
2 c. Granny Smith apples, cored, peeled and sliced
1/2 c. water
1 t. salt
1/2 t. dried thyme
In a skillet over medium-low heat, cook onions slowly in butter
until tender. Add apples, water, salt and thyme. Cover and cook until apples are soft, about 5 to 10 minutes. Uncover; continue cooking until all water is absorbed and apples and onions are lightly golden. Serves 4 to 6.
