Brownie Dessert Waffles

Enjoy this recipe from A Very Merry Christmas Cookbook.

23-oz. pkg. fudge brownie mix
3/4 c. water
1 T. oil
2 eggs, beaten
Optional: 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Garnish: ice cream with toppings, fruit or sundae sauce


Combine dry brownie mix, water, oil and eggs in a large bowl; mix until smooth. Fold in pecans, if desired. Add 1/2 cup batter to a preheated waffle maker sprayed with non-stick vegetable spray. Bake according to manufacturer’s directions. Open waffle iron; leave waffle in iron until set, about one minute. Waffle will be soft. Repeat with remaining batter, spraying waffle maker again for each waffle. Place each waffle on a dessert plate; garnish with desired toppings. Makes 3 to 6 servings.
