1-1/4 c. all-purpose flour 1/4 t. baking powder 1/2 t. baking soda 1/2 t. salt 1/2 c. butter 1 c. dark brown sugar, packed 1 egg, beaten 1-1/2 t. vanilla extra 1 t. espresso powder 3/4 c. dark baking chocolate, chopped 1/2 c. hazelnuts, chopped
In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; set aside. Melt butter in a large cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Add brown sugar and whisk until sugar is dissolved, about one minute. Slowly pour butter
mixture into flour mixture. Add egg, vanilla and espresso powder to flour mixture; stir until combined. Fold in remaining ingredients. Spoon dough into skillet; bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden on top
and a toothpick tests clean. Let stand 30 minutes; slice into wedges to serve. Serves 8. | |
