4 c. Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced
1 T. lemon juice
1 c. long-cooking oats, uncooked
1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 t. cinnamon
1/2 t. salt
1/2 c. butter, melted
Garnish: vanilla ice cream
Arrange apple slices in a greased 9"x9" baking pan; sprinkle with lemon juice and set aside. In a bowl, mix together remaining ingredients except garnish until crumbly; sprinkle over apples. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes, or until apples are tender and top is golden. Serve warm with ice cream. Makes 6 servings.
