5 c. apples, cored, peeled and thinly sliced
1/2 c. sugar
1 t. cinnamon
9-inch pie crust
Crumb Topping:
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. wheat germ
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. flaked coconut
Gently toss apples with sugar and cinnamon; arrange in the pie crust. . To make Crumb Topping: Combine first 4 ingredients; cut in butter with forks or a pastry cutter until crumbly. Gently toss in coconut.Sprinkle Crumb Topping over Apples; bake at 350 degrees until apples are tender, about 30 to 40 minutes. Makes 8 servings.
