3-1/2 c. boiling water 4 to 5 cubes beef bouillon 1/2 c. butter 2 c. long-cooking rice, uncooked 4 to 5 T. soy sauce 4 to 5 green onions, chopped 1/2 c. slivered almonds
Combine boiling water and bouillon cubes; stir until dissolved and set aside. Melt butter in a heavy skillet over medium heat. Add uncooked rice to skillet; cook and stir for one to 2 minutes. Add bouillon mixture to rice; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes, until water is absorbed. Add remaining ingredients; stir and heat through. Makes 8 to 10 servings
