18-1⁄2-oz. pkg. devil’s food cake mix
1 egg, beaten
1⁄3 c. oil
1⁄3 c. water
Garnish: chocolate frosting, chopped walnuts
Stir together all ingredients to make a thick batter. Spread in a greased 13"x9" baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool; cut into squares. Ice squares with frosting and sprinkle with walnuts. Makes one dozen.
