12-oz. jar sliced pepperoncini 4-lb. beef chuck roast 1-3/4 t. dried basil 1-1/2 t. dried oregano 1-1/2 t. garlic powder 1-1/4 t. salt 1/4 t. pepper 1/4 c. water 1 onion, sliced 10 to 12 sandwich buns, split and toasted
Pour pepperoncini with liquid into a 5-quart slow cooker; add roast. Mix together spices, salt and pepper in a small bowl; sprinkle over roast. Add water and onion. Cover and cook on low setting for 8 to 9 hours, until meat is tender. Remove roast; shred using 2 forks. Return meat to slow
cooker; mix well. Using a slotted spoon, place meat on buns. Serves 10 to 12.
