4 c. soft bread cubes
1 c. saltine crackers, crushed
1-1/2 c. apples, peeled, cored and chopped
1 c. chopped pecans
1 c. onion, chopped
1 c. celery, chopped
2/3 c. low-sodium chicken broth
1/4 c. butter, melted
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 t. pepper
1/2 t. dried sage
Combine bread cubes, cracker crumbs, apples, pecans, onion and celery in a slow cooker; set aside. In a small bowl, mix remaining ingredients until well blended. Pour into slow cooker and toss to coat. Cover and cook on low setting for 4 to 5 hours, until dressing is puffed and golden around edges. Makes 12 servings.
