1 qt. water 1-1/2 c. sugar 5 cinnamon sticks 10 whole cloves 5 thin slices fresh ginger root 2 c. strong brewed tea 1 qt. cider 6-oz. can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed 2 T. lemon juice
Combine water and sugar in a large saucepan; heat over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Add cinnamon, cloves and ginger and let simmer on low for 2 hours, or turn off heat and set aside overnight. Remove spices with a slotted spoon; add tea, cider, orange juice and lemon juice. Heat and serve warm. Makes 3 quarts.
