1/4 c. butter 2 c. long-grain rice, uncooked 1 c. celery, chopped 1/2 c. onion, chopped 4 c. chicken broth 1 t. Worcestershire sauce 1 t. soy sauce 1 t. dried oregano 1 t. dried thyme
Melt butter in a saucepan, stir in rice, celery and onion. Sauté until rice is lightly browned and the celery and onion become tender. Transfer to a lightly oiled 2-quart casserole dish. Whisk together remaining ingredients and pour over rice mixture. Bake, covered, at 325 degrees for 50 minutes or until rice is tender. Makes 8 servings
